Endotracheal Tube With Suction Lumen

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a type of lung infection that commonly occurs in people who are on mechanical ventilation more than 48 hours after intubation and initiation of mechanical ventilation; VAP increases the time of hospitalization and consequently increases the cost for patient. Furthermore, high morbidity and mortality rates of VAP patients have already been reported in several investigations. The VAP prevention and reduction is always a big challenge to the clinicians in ICU.

To remove the oral/gastric secretions from above the endotracheal tube cuff is one of the most efficient and effective solution to prevent VAP, and Cathwide Endotracheal tube with suction lumen is ideally designed for this drainage purpose.
